We welcomed Charlotte Rebecca Keely (or Charli) on December 21st at 7:02 AM. And now Charli is going to be a big sister, we expect her brother or sister on or around January 27th!!!
I thought I would use the boppy for tummy time, she could practice lifting her head and pushing herself up. However, apparently it's really comfy just resting on the fuzzy boppy and sucking your hand.......... Ahhhhh, there's plenty of time for practice later............
Charli has been having a great time exploring her play gym. Although she talks to all the little characters she likes the elephant the best and often flirts with or smiles at him. We've also been using the play gym for tummy time. This Charli doesn't like as much but you can see from the pictures she's getting very strong!
Here are a few of the proofs from Charli's first professional photo shoot. She did a great job and let us put her in all kinds of uncomfortable positions without too much protest...;)
Mac's birthday was on Sunday so we all went to dinner in Morgan Hill. There was Grandma Susu, Grampy Warren, Grandma Sue, me, Charli, and of course, Mac! Although it was Mac's birthday you can tell from the photos who the star of the dinner was!!
Well after many failed attempts Grandma Susu finally got to meet Charli!! She first came out to visit around Charli's due date in December, then when Charli didn't arrive she extended her stay a few days. Charli still wasn't ready so Grandma Susu had to go home without meeting her granddaughter. So she bought tickets to fly out on New Year's Day to finally meet little Charli. But Grandma Susu came down with a horrible cold the day before so had to cancel her trip to protect little Charli's immune system. At last, Grandma Susu and Grandpy Warren made it here this weekend and got to meet Charlotte Rebecca!! It was so nice to have them both here!! Unfortunately most of the pictures were taken on Warren's camera (notice he's not in the pictures) but here are a couple that I have...
Uncle Hap, Auntie Paula and cousins Ben and Amelia came all the way down for dinner Saturday night. We had a great time visiting and Auntie Paula even brought cupcakes!
I tried to take some pictures of Charli that we could use as a birth announcement. As cute as she is, Mommy is not a photographer, we decided to make an appointment with a professional! But these are a few of my efforts
These pictures are all of Charlotte watching the mobile that hangs on her pack and play. She'll just lay on the chaging table for 15 minutes or more watching the hearts spin round and round (that's a long time for little Charli to be content if she's not sleeping or eating)!
Punkin - we lost Punkin in July of 2008. She went missing days after we moved into our new home in Carmel Valley. I hope she is in a new home being spoiled rotten
Sadie Sue - Our beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer. She is 12 years old and still has the energy of most puppies!
