We're so spoiled!

Sweet Pea and I got to have another shower! Some of the Diabetes Educators that I call on planned this one for us at Tarpy's, a fabulous restaurant in Monterey. We had a wonderful time, eating, visiting, and opening presents. Mostly I was so touched that they did this for us. We are so blessed!

Here are most of the ladies, but you'll notice one man down at the end. From L to R it's me, Marilyn, Andy, Barbara, Stephanie, and Edi. What a good sport Andy is!! He even made sure to wear his pink shirt and tie!

OK, So if I'm being totally honest, this is one of my favorite parts of the shower. What would would a party be without the fattening dessert??

Our First Anniversary

Since I was already in Chicago Mac flew out to meet me and we stayed through the weekend. It seemed a perfect place to celebrate our first year together and have our last tango before Lil' Sweet Pea joins us and makes us a family.

On our anniversary we had a wonderful dinner at an Asian fusion restaurant called Japanai. Everything was fantastic, and the evening couldn't have been more perfect.

Except that Mac broke the rules and bought me this beautiful watch for our anniversary. We had agreed that the trip itself would be our gifts to each other. But I do love it!!!

We also took this architecture tour on the Chicago River. The buildings in downtown Chicago are amazing!

Mike Leister ( a friend and co-worker) and his wife Julie stayed through the weekend as well. They joined us on the tour and we had a great day afterwards walking and lunching!

We walked through Millennium Park

We went out on the town.

This night we went to an Improv club and stayed out 'til 11:30!!

We tried to walk the Art Institute, but this is how I kept finding myself.....:( Isn't Mac a sport!?

We went on the "Untouchables Tour". It took us to all the big mob haunts and hangouts.

And we went to the Bulls game!!! Check out those nosebleed seats!!
